This thing couldnt be more simple. Plug input HDMI into TX module. Connect a CAT-5E or CAT-6 Ethernet cable, plug the Ethernet cable into the RX module, and connect the HDMI to your TV / Monitor / Projector, etc. You'll notice each module has a 5 volt USB C connector, you only need to connect the 5 volts to one module, it will also power the other over the Ethernet cable. While it sounds complicated, it's pretty simple, and is less expensive than a long HDMI cable and possibly an HDMI repeater. I plugged it in, and it seamlessly works for me. Definitely give this a shot instead of a 25 foot or longer HDMI cable. You'll see no difference in signal.
In short: Works great, less expensive than a wireless HDMI option, less expensive than lengthy HDMI cables.
The hdmi over ethernet extender I received worked without flaw providing 1080p HDMI signal with almost no lag at all. Super easy to set up. Only one power supply is included however. I used it on the receiver end and it powered both the transmitter and receiver when using a 25 foot ethernet cat 6 cable. I would consider making sure the transmitter is powered too if running over 50 feet of ethernet just to make sure the transmitter is well powered.
I would also make sure all connections are snug and left alone as any bumping or wiggling could disrupt the signal. Much of that depends on how good your cables are in the first place.
Recommended for long runs over 25 feet, and less than 160 feet.
The transmission of compressed digital audio is very stable without any packet loss.
I am very satisfied with the performance of this product and have not been disappointed.
Both audio and video are of very high quality.
